Motion and Maps

We have been exploring motion in science and math! The second graders have been using marbles, cardboard tubes, blocks, and measuring tapes to explore and observe how they can get marbles moving without pushing them. They've come up with theories about what causes marbles to move further or faster and are testing them now and collecting data. Today we explored with wheels (discs) and axles(straws). This has been a ton of fun and we've learned a few things too!

We have been learning about the continents. Below are photos of kids making relief maps.
