Our Pilgrim village and making butter!

Our study of the first Thanksgiving began in England and followed the Pilgrims on the Mayflower to Cape Cod and Plymouth. Each child made a Pilgrim house and a Wetu (the house of the Native American Wampanoag).

Visit to the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg

We had a wonderful visit to the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg on Tuesday!
It was a beautiful and unseasonably warm day for walking! We felt very lucky to enjoy the sunshine and the nice walk together!

Dr. Pat Leavey met us in the waiting room  with his dog, Scruffy.

We thought of good questions to ask to better understand why Scruffy wasn't feeling well, so we could help him get better,
When Dr. Leavey examined Scruffy he felt something hard in his abdomen and it seemed to be painful to touch!
The x-ray revealed that Scruffy had eaten a cellphone and would need surgery!

Luckily, the surgery was successful!

Fun-O-Ween!

We had a great time rotating through Halloween stations on Friday afternoon in our costumes!  We enjoyed Halloween Bingo, Musical Chairs, Ghost in the Graveyard, and more!  Ask your child to tell you all about it!
